Week 41

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is doing good!  This was a great week.  It was a longer week but lots of good things happening. We continued to teach JD and Reed and are super excited for their baptisms coming up  in 2 weeks . We are praying and working hard so that they will be able to make that. It has been so fun to teach both of them especially Reed. He is such a good guy, and is so so funny! He gave us a call the other day and left us a message saying "Hey Elder Miller, it's Elder Reed. Well... I'm kind of an Elder" Elder Scott and I were dying it was so funny. Reed has had some issues with the Word of Wisdom, so we told him anytime he feels tempted to give us a call and we will talk him through it and try and help him out. We have had some funny talks with him while trying to keep him from drinking coffee hahah. But he is doing great and we are excited for him. This week I was studying in Hebrews and I have found a new love for the book of Hebrews, just beca...

Week 40: Ping's Hibachi

Happy Birthday gabby gabs!! Love you lots and I can't believe your 18! Hey everyone! This week was pretty normal, nothing too crazy happened. Transfers are this week, but Elder Scott and I are both staying, which I am glad because we have more work to do. One of the nights this week, one of the RMs in the ward took us to dinner at Ping's Hibachi. It was just an Asian restaurant close by and the lady who was working there spoke mandarin and Cantonese. So I said a couple things to her and she understood. It was super cool, so we are going to have to go back and see if I can talk to her more and possibly start teaching her about the gospel. Hebrews  4:15-16   "15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Christ lived a perf...

Week 39: Grind Week

Hey everyone! This week was a very busy one. Elder Scott and I were non stop this week which is good and better then not having anything to do, but it is very exhausting.  We have 3 districts in the zone so Elder Scott and I have to go to 3 district councils every week. And one thing I guess I am known for in the zone is "hype man.” It’s too bad that I am not known as like spiritual or good missionary or most christ like or something like that. but I guess hype man is what they would rather know me by hahah.  Anyways so I was in charge of getting everyone hyped before district council. I decided to play a book of mormon stories trap remix song, and have a dance circle and everyone was required to go in and dance. It was so funny, some people were a little uncomfortable about it but I loved it, made me laugh. We taught JD some more lessons and he is now on date for  Aug 8th.  We also were able to talk with Peyton this week and teach him some lessons. He has be...

We lost amazing President Love and recieved amazing President and Sister Ames. We had MLC this week so I got to meet them the 2nd day they got here. They are awesome super nice and great people, and  President Ames loves to golf which is awesome! We taught some lessons with JD this week.  He is so awesome!! He is so inspiring, everytime we finish teaching he says "what is my homework? What do you want me to read or study before next time?" He is progressing well and has been so cool to teach and see his desire grow.  On the 4th we made a fun Facebook video about America, and had our own mini BBQ. Then we walked to the UCM football field and watched some fireworks. Wasn't quite like the 4ths back home but it was still fun! 2 Nephi 26:23-24  "23 For b...
