Week 62: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hey everyone, I hope everyone had a good Christmas! Things have been going good for me. Still visiting lots of missionaries which is a lot of fun!  Christmas was a lot of fun this year! Our foursome went to Texas Roadhouse for our Christmas eve dinner which was bomb of course. On Christmas day us 4 Elders choreographed a dance to "little drummer boy" by Justin Bieber that we performed in front of our zone. None of us are very good at dancing but it was fun. We watched Frozen 2 which was fun and played some games with our zone. We also had the opportunity to hear from Elder Holland on Christmas day. He did a Devotional just to our mission and it was very special. Elder Salmon and I spoke in our sacrament meeting on Sunday. Of course the week I had to speak a General Authority Seventy was there. That definitely added some nerves but I think we did alright hahah. I spoke on how we come to know and become like the Savior. I love that topic and it has been on my mind as of recentl...

Week 58: Liberty YSA

Hey everyone! I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. This week was crazy! I got transferred to Liberty which I'm excited for it's a great spot. My new companion is Elder Salmon from Farmington Utah. He is awesome.  He played Football and Basketball in high school, so we have a lot in common.  My new area is different then the rest of my areas, my companion and I work with a lot of the missionaries in the mission. It's cool to be able to meet with them and get to know them more. I am thankful for this time of year. It is nice to be able to reflect on all that we have been given. President Nelson was spot on when he said that there is a healing power that comes from it. I have for sure felt that in my life when I choose to be thankful.  As a missionary it's nice because we don't have to get caught up in all the extra stuff of the holidays, especially christmas. But we just get to reflect and be grateful for the greatest gift our Heavenly Father has given us, which i...
