MTC Week 6

Hey everyone!

I hope everyone had a good week. Happy Thanksgiving! This week at the MTC was good, like I have said before nothing really new here at the MTC. This week was cool with Cantonese.  It is coming more and more every week, and probably will till the end of my mission hahah but that is ok. We were able to call a member from Hong Kong and "schedule an appointment with them" It was a cool experience to test our language and try to understand them. For the most part they understood us, and we understood them which was nice. But they were taking it easy on us because they knew we were american missionaries just learning. One funny thing with the conversation is that we asked the lady when would be best to meet with her. She replied "Yìhgā" (Right now) so then we bore testimony to her. It was awesome and gave us a chance to just briefly share something that we know to be true with a Hēung Góng Yàhn. (Hong Kong Citizen)

This week is Thanksgiving which is one of my favorite holidays so I want to share some things that I am thankful for. I am thankful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I am thankful for my amazing family, I have the best family in the world, and I love and miss them so much. I am thankful for my friends. I have been blessed with amazing friends in my life who have been great influences on me, and have supported me my whole life. I am thankful to be a missionary. What a special and sacred calling this is. I have learned to love being a missionary. I am thankful for my experiences and things I have learned thus far, and I am so excited to be able to serve and love the people of Hong Kong. I am thankful to know that I have a Heavenly Father who knows me, knows my weakness and strengths and all he wants from us is to return to live with him. I am thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ who is so selfless and full of love that he was willing to Sacrifice it all so that we can have it all. I invite you all to watch the Christ Child video that just came out. It is amazing and is so powerful and is the perfect way to start out this Holiday season. I hope everyone has a good week and enjoys their Thanksgiving!

Love, Elder Miller
