Week 12 - Happy New Year!

Hey everyone!! Hope everyone had a good New Year! This week was a great week. Super busy.  Last Pday one of the ZL's broke his ankle playing a game so he had to go home for surgery. It was pretty sad. But because of that Elder Call the other ZL joined us, so I'm back in a Trio.

One awesome thing this week, is one of our investigators we have been working with wanted to take us to get lunch. We said we would go wherever, and so he chose his favorite KFC. It was great, haha one of the workers tried to Bible bash with us about stuff with the church but then just walked away.

Since we had Elder Call join us we combined teaching pools. Elder Call recently baptized a guy named Darnell Pipens so we were able to go to President Love's newly converts devotional at the VC where the new converts can bare their testimonies. It was super spiritual, and funny because after someone would bare their testimony another convert would start clapping it was great.

Another cool thing that happened this week was I went on my first exchange this week with Elder Askelson the DL, in Harrisonville. It was awesome, we were knocking doors and this lady answered the door and told us she had faith in christ, but didn't go to a church because what would make one church better then the other. We explained how that is kind of how our church came to be and how Joseph Smith had that same question. Elder Askelson tried to give her a book of Mormon and invited to read but she said no and we should give it to someone else. Right before we were about to leave I had the impression to invite her again. So I decided to be bold, and I told her whether or not she believed what we were saying was true. She could find peace and happiness by reading this book and bore a quick testimony of it. She said after that she would take the book and read it. So that was awesome hopefully she did.

I'm grateful to be a missionary, and have the opportunity to share this amazing gospel. I'm so grateful to be a member of this church, I felt that more then ever this week. It breaks my heart to see these good people lost in their lives because they don't have the gift of the gospel in their lives. I know this church to be true with all my heart. Love you all have a good week.
