Week 21

This week was a good one. Saw some pretty cool miracles this week! First off, Elder Ipsen and I were on a team up with our ward mission leader and we knocked on a door to what we thought was going to be a less active member. It wasn't, it was a 16 year old kid named Jayon. He told us he was super interested in learning more about Christ and our message. He came and played basketball with us and asked if he could come to church with us it was awesome!

Another amazing miracle happened. We were going to try and visit one of our investigators at their apartment but their complex is always locked so we usually just get lucky and walked in with someone else. So we got there and it was unlocked surprisingly. Then we went and knocked on their door and there was no answer. We were kind of bummed out. Then we started walking out and another door that is always locked was unlocked. Right then I turned to Elder Ipsen and said "There has been way to many miracles for us to be here for no reason." Literally right then we see this lady and her daughter trying to get groceries from their car. So we run over and ask if they needed help they said yes. They were asian so I was hoping that they were chinese and spoke Cantonese hahah but we found out they were from Vietnam. So we helped them carry their groceries to their apartment. We told them who we are and what we do. We invited them to come to church. They said if we went to their church they would come to ours. So we are looking forward to continue meeting with them.

I have found so much joy in my life since being a missionary and really studying the scriptures. I have been reading about the life of Christ in the New Testament. And also the Book of Mormon.

I read in Alma 5 this week and Alma asks some questions for us to ponder on. He asks us if we have been spiritually reborn of god? Or if we have had his image in our countenance? He also asks if we have experienced a might change of heart? This is what I am trying to do everyday as a missionary. Trying to represent the Savior and have his image about me. I know that when we all strive for this that we are able to have a mighty change of heart. Hope everyone enjoys their week!
