Week 27: Examples of Charity Towards Me
你哋好! This week was good. We were able to teach many member lessons. Also I did a couple of video chats with Sister Phillips and another Hong Kong Elder to practice my Cantonese. I love being able to practice speaking and hope to continue to progress and get better and better. We were doing one of our phone lessons with a member of the ward, and she offered to buy us Olive Garden and had it delivered to our apartment. We really appreciated her offer and could not turn it down. That was the first act of charity. The second, was by a less active lady in the ward that same night! She called us and told us to meet her at Walmart and that she wanted to buy groceries for us. So we met up with her. Trying to be as respectful and thankful to her as possible we got just what we we thought we needed. She saw our cart and then walked isle to isle with us and forced us to buy a ton more.
