Week 25: A Conference I Will Never Forget
Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a good week! This week was very similar to the last 3 but we had zone Conference over the phone. It actually was great and I felt the spirit and we had some great trainings.
My highlight of the week was definitely Conference. I have been looking forward to and preparing for this one for 6 months and it was my first Conference on my mission. It definitely was one that I will remember for the rest of my life. I was absolutely amazed when the Shanghai temple was announced. I immediately had chills and was so happy. Pure evidence that the work is progressing and that the whole world will be filled with Christs gospel. I am so grateful that we have a Prophet who leads and guides us today, and who receives revelation for us from our Father in Heaven. I also loved how all of the talks were centered on the restoration and on Christ.
My favorite talk was Elder Holland's talk about hope. He is such a powerful speaker and a man of god. I loved how he said that because we are members of the church, sons and daughters of God, we have the Savior’s Atonement to lift us. And because God is in charge and is with us always, we have every reason to hope and we should hope. Hope for a better world for our kids and our grandchildren. I know this to be true. What an amazing blessing to be able to have these prophets and apostles speak to us and uplift us in times of need. I love this church, I am grateful that Christ's gospel has been restored to this earth, as well as priesthood power and the Book of Mormon.
