Week 34: Liam's Baptism and 4 Elders in Warrensburg

Hey everyone! This week was a great one! First off we got 2 new Elders in our apartment here in Warrensburg. Elder Call and I tried to fight to not have anyone join us because we knew our apartment would be too small for 2 more, but we got them still, and they were some great additions to the area! One of them is Elder Bethel from Vancouver Washington and the other is a reassignment from the Republic of the Congo. He is French speaking and he loves to use it often hahah. He has been teaching us some of it. So there is a lot of French around the house.

Second, Liam was baptized!! It was an amazing day and experience for him and for us. It was weird with only 8 people there and some people over zoom. But the spirit was so strong. Liam's mom was on the zoom call and she is not a member. She started crying, and said it was a cool experience for her. So we are hoping Liam will be able to be a missionary to her. It was cool to hear Liam bare his testimony and hear how much he has grown and learned and to hear him thank us.  It was a humbling experience and I was glad to be a part of it. 

One miracle that happened that day, Elder Bethel who got transferred here 2 days before the baptism, Turns out that he and Liam went to the same high school together and they ran track together. Liam entered the air force and got sent to Warrensburg Missouri the Whiteman base and both of them ended up here. It was an amazing experience for both of them. Elder Bethel was able to ordain Liam and give him the priesthood. The whole situation was a miracle and by devine design how they connected there that day. For sure a day I will always remember.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to serve our Savior. Greatest blessing in my life has been choosing to serve. I love being able see myself change and grow from this gospel. I know everyone can have a "mighty change of heart" as Alma teaches us in Alma 5 if we exercise faith in the Lord. Hope everyone enjoys this week!
