Week 50: Banjo Noises

Image
Hey everyone! This week went by super quick but it was good! We did a ton of Facebook work which is crazy to think that this is the new "knocking doors.” One day this week Elder Scott and I spent 4 hours creating and editing a General Conference hype up video for our page. If you were to tell me that on my mission I would need to know how to use tech and edit videos I would have laughed.  A funny experience from this week was Elder Scott and I had to do a baptismal interview for some Elders in the Zone. It was at this ladies house in the "back woods" or "the sticks" hahah, it was on a farm. Anytime we go to a place that is like this Elder Scott always starts making these banjo noises and it is so funny! There were chickens everywhere, dogs going crazy and spiders everywhere, and there was Elder Scott in his suit. I loved it! The ladies Dad came back from grinding some farm work and was holding his arm.  Apparently he cut his arm doing something and was bleeding...

Week 49: Elder Wong

Hey everyone hope all is well. The last 2 weeks have been good ones! Our mission had the privilege of having Elder Wong of the Seventy do a virtual mission tour of our mission.  Elder Wong was originally from Hong Kong so it was cool to hear from him. It was so great! He did 2 MLCs and 2 Zone Conferences so I got to hear from him 4 times this last week and boy he is so good at what he does. All of  the information he gave us was so amazing and really inspiring. It made me want to be a better missionary and person. He talked a ton about being able to do the impossible in life, through having a plan, seeking heavens help, and the study of the Book of Mormon. He truly was an answer to my prayers this week. We are still teaching Peyton and trying our best to find new people. Elder Wong gave us lots of ideas and tips to finding more investigators, so we applied them and were able to find 2 more new people this week it was a miracle. I love this gospel! I love being a missionary and...

Week 47: Taco Tuesday

Hey everyone! This week was a good one! We had transfers and I'm staying in Warrensburg for my 4th Transfer and with Elder Scott for our 3rd together. We got another Elder with us this week. His companion had to go home due to migraines, so Elder Morales joined us for a couple days. It was a lot of fun! He is hilarious and he kept us laughing the whole week. On Tuesday, some members took us out for tacos because it was Taco Tuesday. We thought it was so funny because Elder Morales kept playing this song called Taco Tuesday all day. In Revelation 3:20 we learn that Christ is at our door knocking and if we let him in he will come unto us. President Monson said "Will we listen for that knock? Will we hear that voice? Will we open that door to the Lord that we may receive the help he is so ready to provide? I pray that we will. I add my testimony to President Monson if we will let the lord into our life our lives will become better and we will become more like him. Grateful to be ...

Week 46

Hey everyone! Sorry I am getting so bad at sending these emails. But Everything has been going good here in Warrensburg! We have been teaching our guy Peyton and now we have been teaching a new couple, JJ and Pam that we got a referral to give a blessing to.  We gave Pam a blessing and have taught them twice now. They have been awesome, such a nice and humble family! We are still playing lots of basketball at nights which is the best! Too bad Elder Scott rolled his ankle so I probably won't be playing as much. Update on Reed, JD and Liam, they are all doing good. They have been blessing and passing the sacrament which is awesome! We went to our Mission Presidents Devotional for new converts and JD bore his testimony. It was awesome! So proud of him! In 1 John we learn about the importance to love one another and to love God.  18 "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, ...
