Week 50: Banjo Noises
Hey everyone! This week went by super quick but it was good! We did a ton of Facebook work which is crazy to think that this is the new "knocking doors.” One day this week Elder Scott and I spent 4 hours creating and editing a General Conference hype up video for our page. If you were to tell me that on my mission I would need to know how to use tech and edit videos I would have laughed.
A funny experience from this week was Elder Scott and I had to do a baptismal interview for some Elders in the Zone. It was at this ladies house in the "back woods" or "the sticks" hahah, it was on a farm. Anytime we go to a place that is like this Elder Scott always starts making these banjo noises and it is so funny! There were chickens everywhere, dogs going crazy and spiders everywhere, and there was Elder Scott in his suit. I loved it! The ladies Dad came back from grinding some farm work and was holding his arm. Apparently he cut his arm doing something and was bleeding like crazy but he just sat down and talked with us with his bloody arm just chilling. It was like something you would see in a movie.
Other then that it was a pretty normal week. We are still trying to teach our people and find some new ones. We are working tons with members. I am so excited for General Conference this week! We are so blessed to be led by the Lord through his Prophets and Apostles. I hope everyone will be able to prayerfully find answers to their personal questions this week and find peace in hearing the voice of the Lord.
Alma 5:60 "...the good shepherd doth call after you; and if you will hearken unto his voice he will bring you into his fold, and ye are his sheep;"
I hope you all have a good week! Happy Birthday to my Mom On Wednesday! Love you so much Mom! I hope you have a good one! Lucky to call you mom!
