Week 29: Warrensburg

Happy Birthday to my Dad!!! The big 45 for Jaybird! I am thankful for everything that you have done for me, and your example of what it means to be like the savior. I hope you play some golf and eat a dunford doughnut with a diet coke.

你哋好! This week was crazy, It was transfer week. But because of the quarantine we didn't think there would be many changes. Turns out I got transferred. I am now in Warrensburg Missouri. Most of you probably don't know where that is. It is awesome! It is a lot different then Kansas City where I have been for the last 4.5 months. It is a lot more country then Kansas City with tons of field's and land, super green and really pretty. Elder Ipsen my comp was not happy with us getting split up. So he punched a whole in the wall hahah it was great. I am going to miss him and all the other people I met and became friends with in KC.

Transfer Rage

I am with Elder Call again! We reunited hahah. But I am now driving, and we have a mini van that we drive. It is so fun! It moves like a Ferrari. Our first day down here we drove to all the companionships to drop of a new initiative the mission is doing. The zone is so far apart so we drove for like 4.5 hours that day. It was tiring especially because it was my first time driving in 7 months.

One funny/crazy experience was we were getting gas, and this big truck pulls up next to us and is getting gas on the otherside. He saw that we were missionaries, so he started blasting the Book of Mormon play over his trucks speakers loud. Everyone there could hear it and was looking at us and laughing. I couldn't help but laugh and smile at the guy. Should have offered to teach him more about it hahah.

We were able to watch the YSA devotional last night. I don't know if any of you were able to watch it. If not I would highly recommend watching it somehow.

Elder and Sister Gay did an amazing job! Elder Gay especially touched me with his comment of "Living a covenant life, not a convenient life." And how we can follow the Saviors example by doing the lords will not ours. I know that to be true. When we truly humble ourselves to the depths of humility, and yield up our will to the Lord, we are able to find joy. And overcome any trial or temptation or struggle. I love my savior and this gospel. Im so thankful I can wake up every day and try my best to follow him.
