Week 35

Hey everyone! This week was transfers and sadly Elder Call got transferred out. But the good news is I got Elder Scott! He is from the Gilbert Arizona area and he is awesome! He also loves golf, so we are going to get as much golf in as we can.

One cool thing that happened this week. Elder Scott and I were going through our area book and we tried calling two people who have been taught by missionaries before, but Elder Call and I couldn't ever get in contact with them. We called both of them and we were able to share a message with them and set up return appointments with them.

One of the lessons was with a guy named Peyton. Peyton is a super cool guy, he has had lots of exposure to the church and missionaries. We just started introducing ourselves and he was doing the same and while he was telling his story about his life and his contact with the church, I felt prompted to read Alma 32 with him about relating faith to a seed. So we read the verses with him and discussed it. After he told us how he thought our message was perfect for him and it was exactly what he needed. He said that he felt that Heavenly Father knew what he needed so that he inspired us to share it with him. It was a mini miracle for Elder Scott and I.
