Week 72: The sacred grove

Hey everyone! The last couple weeks have been going good. We have been doing tons of Facebook work and doing some service. We have been working with this part member family. They have been so awesome, and the whole branch is helping out too. We are hoping we will be able to have them baptized soon. We also were able to play some pros basketball with some college kids this week, which was a tender mercy from the Lord to me.

We also had a baptism this week! Our guy Brother Hutcherson! We have been teaching him for a while now. He used to be a member about 20ish years ago, but he left the church. Then he moved to Atchison and reached out to us and we started teaching him a little. We were able to baptize him, and it was such a cool experience to see him want to come back. He's a great guy!

We also were able to do a virtual tour of the Sacred Grove. It was such a cool experience! I have been studying a lot about the restoration and Joseph Smith so that made it extra special. When they walked into the grove it was silent and the spirit was so strong. It was very special.

I am thankful to be a missionary! I love this gospel, I know it is true. Christ is what makes everything possible. Hope you all have a good week!
