MTC Week 3
Hello everyone!
This week has been another classic week here at the MTC. This Wednesday will be 3 weeks, so coming up on 1/3 of the way through the MTC hahah. Nothing super crazy happened this week because we have a set schedule, but it's been fun to be able to keep growing with my companions, district and with the language. This week was Halloween, so me and the elders in my district wore some of the masks my mom sent us which was fun for the 20 seconds we were allowed to wear them. Our teachers were not feeling the Halloween spirit hahah. Elder Ford wore a batman mask, and can do the greatest batman impersonation I have ever seen I was dying. One other funny thing but sad story, so me and my district were playing basketball together and all of the sudden I heard a thud and I look down and Elder Quilter is on the ground legs all weird. He rolled his ankle pretty good, which has been sad. But just funny the way he has been handling it, he's a beast.
The language has been coming on little by little but still unbelievably difficult. We had our first TRC this week. Which is teaching a lesson in Cantonese to a member. We did pretty good but we definitely got a long ways to go but I was happy about it.
On a more serious note, like I've been saying before the spirit of the MTC is amazing. We had a great fast and testimony meeting on Sunday and what a amazing experience it was to see missionaries bare testimony of their Savior and Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. It was a big testimony builder for me.
The district ahead of my Hong Kong Cantonese speaking district, got reassigned to California this week. And it has been pretty hard on a lot of us. But we are hopeful and have faith in the lord and his plan. So everyone pray for Hong Kong.
Hope everyone has a good week!
